Riverdale Season 1

In 2017 the CW re-imagined the squeaky clean world of Archie Comics into a much darker, drama and mystery filled series that is anything but lighthearted. Despite a modern day setting and a less-than-wholesome cast of characters, the 50s-style chock’lit shoppe that is Pop’s is a central location, harking back to classic cars and the brightest of neon signs.

Keeping that in mind, The M Factor Creative’s social campaign for the new series presented that neon look as perhaps more sinister than sharing a malted with your best girl. I was responsible for animating the neon effects and ambient motion for title cards appearing before each vignette.
